Hi there! I’m Christa with Fixed Fee IT, Portland’s best IT Support company. Welcome back to our series on everything you need to know about Microsoft Teams. Today, we’re walking through how you can track attendance in Microsoft Teams meetings.
Any Microsoft Teams meeting organizer can download an attendance report both during the meeting, and after the meeting. This report will include the name of every person who attended the meeting, the time they joined, and the time they left the meeting. This is a great tool for company meetings, presentations, training, and compliance or insurance meetings which often require a form of evidence that your people have attended the meeting.
To begin, start or organize a Microsoft Teams meeting. The ability to download a report is only available to organizers and co-organizers, so make sure the person in charge of getting attendance can do so before you begin.
The first way you can download an attendance report is during the meeting itself. Once the meeting has begun, you are going to go down to the top of your screen and select the participant icon. This will open the People’s panel. This panel will show you current attendants in the meeting, including yourself.
On the top of this panel there is a download arrow. To download the attendance sheet, you will click the download arrow, and it will automatically begin downloading a CVS file with that information on it.
The second way you can download a report is through your channel. Open the meeting you just attended, and then open the attendance report.
Here you can also download a CSV file by clicking on the download arrow on the upper right of the screen.
To see the attendance list for recurring meetings, you can select the report you want to view from the dropdown list by choosing the date of the meeting you want data for.
And that’s it! Now you should be able to take and access your attendance data in Microsoft Teams Meetings! Check out our other Microsoft Teams tutorials in our playlist to learn more.
